08/13/2009: USA Trade Online will be undergoing a server upgrade beginning at approximately 9:30 AM on Thursday, August 13th. During this process, USA Trade Onlinewill not be available. We apologize for any inconvenience.
06/2009: NOTE: Major Aircraft Industry Trade Data Changes. As a result of an analysis of the aircraft industry, export data from January 2004 through December 2008 was revised on June 10th. For more information on these changes, please click here .
04/2009: The software upgrade for USA Trade Online was completed Friday, April 24, 2009. During this process, some of the saved reports were recreated due to an underlying data change. Users should review and modify their saved reports as needed.
04/2009: USA Trade Online will be undergoing a major software upgrade Friday, April 24, 2009 from 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM EST. During this process, USA Trade Online will not be available. One-day subscriptions should be purchased after the upgrade is complete.
12/2008: The STAT-USA office will be closed on Thursday, January 1, 2009, in observance of New Year's Day.
12/2008: The Department of Commerce will be undergoing maintenance enhancements beginning 9:00 PM EST Friday, December 19, 2008 through 5:00 AM EST Monday, December 22, 2008. During this time, USA Trade Online may experience sporadic outages. We apologize for the inconvenience.
08/2008: USA Trade Online will be undergoing maintenance 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM EST on Sunday, August 17, 2008. During this period, there may be service interruption.
03/2008: With the March 11th release of the merchandise trade data, the U.S. Census Bureau and STAT-USA® are pleased to announce the addition of export and import data by NAICS commodities to USA Trade Online! The export and import data on USA Trade Online now carry 3- through 6-digit district-level NAICS reports. Customers are able to access several new measures, including: imports for consumption, foreign export value and balance of trade! From the Data Source Selection screen, select the "NAICS Data" option to see the new data.
02/20/2008: 5pm EST: Important Notice!
While processing the annual 2007 export port data, released on February 14, 2008, the monthly data for November 2007 was excluded. This processing problem affected the export port data for November 2007 and annual 2007 only. All other data available through USA Trade Online was not impacted.
The export port data has been recompiled and are now available.

09/2007: USA Trade Online gets a fresh "Perspective"!
On September 6, 2007, USA Trade Online, the definitive source for U.S. foreign trade statistics, gets a new look! Powered by Beyond 20/20’s innovative Perspective 4.0 software and created in tandem with STAT-USA® and the Foreign Trade Division of the Bureau of the U.S. Census, the new USA Trade Online boasts a cleaner interface, new features and improved performance! There are lots of enhancements -- the opening screen now shows what date the data are available for, Boolean searching, scaling, more chart options, new My Reports features, etc. See the STAT[]News article about the change.
Any reports saved in My Reports before September 6 have automatically been transferred to the new version.
11/2006: ITDU Conference December 5 and 6: International Trade Data Users, Inc., in cooperation with the International Trade Center/RRB will present a "How Will 2007 HS Code Changes Affect You?” conference in Washington D.C., followed by a Trade Data Workshop the following day. The conference will be held in Washington, D.C. There is a charge for the conference. Please click this link for more information about the event.
08/2006: Older version dropped: On August 15, 2006, STAT-USA dropped the older version of the USA Trade Online's user interface. If you need assistance using the new interface, please call our customer support line at 1-800-STAT-USA (1-800-782-8872) or 202-482-1986.
06/2006: 2005 Revisions Implemented: The Foreign Trade Division of the Bureau of the Census released the revisions to the 2005 data on June 9, 2006. These revisions reflect all corrections to the previous calendar year's monthly data. These changes have been incorporated into the data on USA Trade Online.
02/2006: Port-level data are here! STAT-USA, in conjunction with the Bureau of the Census and Beyond 20/20, is pleased to announce that port-level data is now appearing in USA Trade® Online! This is a major addition to the database and is being made available at no additional cost to USA Trade Online subscribers! Not yet a subscriber? 01/24/2005: Important Notice to Subscribers: As of January 24, 2005, saving in MY REPORTS on the old site will be disabled as STAT-USA takes the final steps in the enhancement process of USA Trade Online. MY REPORTS in the enhanced site will remain fully functional. For more information, click here.
01/18/2005: Saving in the Enhanced Version is Enabled! Users can now access their saved reports in the MY REPORTS section.
06/2004: Release of the "Enhanced" Beta Version of USA Trade Online Software! This version offers historical monthly data, more data manipulation tools, and a brand new chart option. Click here for an ENHANCED VERSION of USA Trade Online, which provides additional functionality and more data. 10/08/2003: Historical EXPORTS Database Updated and Upgraded! As previously promised, the ten year annual export database has been updated with new eleven year annual data. As with the the import database, this one is much faster! Please let us know if you have any comments or problems.
09/24/2003: Historical Imports Database Updated and Upgraded! Earlier this year, we added ten-year annual export and import files to the databases. The ten-year annual import database has been updated with new eleven-year annual data, and it is much faster! We will be updating the export database as soon as we have the latest information. Please let us know if you have comments or problems using the new updates.
