In the same way your Selection Criteria enable you to tailor the type of information you want, USA Trade Online's Report Features help you organize, manipulate, and format this information.

Once you’ve selected your report type and data dimensions, you can use the following Report Features to manipulate and better organize your data. After clicking "View Report" from your main Reports Page (see Figure A), USA Trade Online will generate a report based on your specifications. Your Report Features are typically located directly above the first row of data cells (see Figure B).

Using In-Report Hyperlinks

In addition to using your Commodity Selection Criterion, you can use the hyperlinked commodity descriptions to automatically drill down to greater detail in your report. For example, by clicking on Chapter 09 "Coffee, Tea, Mate & Spices" in Figure C, you can tell the system to regenerate the report at the next level of detail. As we see in Figure D this opens up Chapter 09 to the four-digit detail level.

Changing Report Row and Column Defaults

Drop-down menus are available above your report to help you tailor the default report rows and columns to your computer screen (see Figure E). USA Trade Online allows you to expand your rows and columns as high as 50 per page. For smaller displays, you may want to keep rows and columns in the range of 10 to 15. If you have a large screen with a high resolution, then perhaps 25 columns and rows per page would be more appropriate. Ultimately, this choice will also depend on your research.

Additionally, you can use the Row and Column headers to guide you through the information. To move to another range of rows or columns, click on the arrow boxes Down toggle arrow Up toggle arrow Page left Page right. Down arrow pages down, up arrow pages up, left arrow pages left and the right arrow pages right.
