Depending on the report type you selected on the Data Source Selection screen, you will see a combination of the available measures, namely value, quantity, and unit price in your report. Importantly, value data are provided at all digit levels, but quantity and price values are only provided at the ten-digit HS level. For port-level data, the measures are Total Value, Vessel Value, Vessel SWT, Air Value, Air SWT, Containerized Vessel Value, and Containerized Vessel SWT. If the default options of the report you selected do not fit your research needs, you can select and/or deselect the default options (more on this below).

Navigating the Measures Selections

As shown below in Figures A and B, you must first select "Measures" from your main Report page in order to access the Measures Selection screen. Again, the level of detail necessary in your analysis should guide your choices. The simplest way to select your measures is to select and/or deselect the various options. For example, in Figure B, both "Value" and "Quantity" are selected. To see "Unit Price" only, deselect Value and Quantity (by unchecking the boxes to the left of them) and select Unit Price (by checking the box next to it). If you wanted to have Value, Quantity, and Unit Price all selected, you could either 1) check the boxes to the left of Unit Price or 2) click the green checkbox below the "All:" heading. We encourage users to play around with the various selection options to find the option that works best for them. Always remember, there are many ways to get to the right answer!
