USA Trade Online allows you to track the monthly exports from each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia by country of destination and method of transportation. State exports are available using either the standard 2-, 4- and 6-digit HS commodity classification codes or 3- and 4-digit North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) based codes.

Navigating the State Export Selections

When entering the State Export Data, you must first decide which commodity classification you want: HS or NAICS. Figures B-C show how to identify which selection you've chosen.

Navigating the State Export Options

To select a state or group of states, you can simply click the empty boxes beside the state names or you may prefer to search for the state by entering it's name in the Search box at the top and hitting Enter or or pressing the Search icon icon button. You can also use any of the following state selection options:



State Exports (HS or NAICS) is the only data selection that doesn't have the Measures Member already selected under Selection Criteria, as shown in Figure D.

Like with the port data, there are seven measures available for the state exports (shown in Figure E), which are accessibile by selecting Measures (Figure D).
